Littoral-Gora?

[edit]

I could not find "Littoral-Gora" term anywhere. Did it come from a particular source or is it only a loose translation of "primorsko-goranska"?--Tomobe03 (talk) 15:35, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tomobe03 It is a loose translation, what do you think would be a better name? Regards, OakMapping (talk) 16:40, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The same expression is currently used in the name of the modern "Primorsko-goranska županija" which is normally translated as "Primorje-Gorski Kotar County", but I'm not quite sure that would be that good idea, although it would be much more recognisable.
Why not call it 13th Primorsko-Goranska Assault Divison? I mean, if that's the only expression found in the sources, there's not much contest there. After all, that's its name. At least, that's what I'd choose unless a reliable English language source calls the division otherwise. It would be wise though to note in the article text that the "Primorje" bit refers to the Croatian Littoral region and the remainder stands for Gorski Kotar region.--Tomobe03 (talk) 16:56, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe Peacemaker67 came across the division's translated name.--Tomobe03 (talk) 16:58, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I guess it would be better to just call it 13th Primorsko-Goranska Assault Divison, there could be a note next to the division saying that Primorje refers to Croatian Littoral and remainder stands for Gorski Kotar. I will do that right away if you agree, if Peacemaker came across a translated name, it can be changed again. Thanks for correcting me. That's fine by me. Glad to help.--Tomobe03 (talk) 18:11, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
